The shop is in Qualicum Beach, so Oceanside is most of the week. The run carries on south as far as Duncan.

The next town over. Restaurants, grocery, strata and homes, on the same call-out.

Along Highway 4, in the Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District.

Port Alberni

Up Highway 4 in the Alberni Valley. Piped natural gas and real summer heat, so furnace work and cooling both count, alongside the kitchens and pubs on the refrigeration side.

Tofino

Restaurants, lodges and the kitchens behind them, on a coast with no natural gas. Homes and rentals there run on electric heat, which is what a heat pump replaces.

The harbour town down the road from Tofino. No natural gas here either, and a heat pump is bought for steady heat and drier air rather than for cooling.

Heat pump rebates, linked to the official programs

Rebate amounts move, and most of the pages quoting them are out of date. We keep a page that names the program, the amount and the day we last read it off the official site.

Which one a house qualifies for depends on how it is heated today. That is a short phone call long before it is a quote.

Questions we get

What does the 24/7 line cover?
Commercial refrigeration. When a cooler, freezer or display case goes down outside shop hours, that is the number to call, holidays included. Residential work is booked in, and we will tell you on the call when we can get there.
Will you service equipment somebody else installed?
Yes. Send the model and serial numbers and what your last service invoice says through the contact form, or call and read them off the data plate. You hear what we found before you book anything.
Which heat pump rebate does my house qualify for?
It depends on how the house is heated today, and the amounts move. The CleanBC Better Homes heat pump rebates need a contractor registered with the program, and Griffin Refrigeration is not registered, so none of them is available on a heat pump we install today. We keep a page that names each program and links straight to the official one.
Where do you work?
From Campbell River to Duncan, up Highway 4 to Port Alberni, and out to Tofino and Ucluelet. The shop is in Qualicum Beach, so Oceanside is where most of the week goes. Outside that stretch, for scheduled commercial work, ask and we will tell you straight whether we can cover it.
